Little Moon Cottage
Little Moon Cottage - the Cottage with the white door in the photo - is one of a row of four terraced cottages built in the latter half of the nineteenth century to accommodate workers from Weston Manor across the road.
The cottage has great character and has had many colourful inhabitants. We found evidence of smugglers - a secret place for stashing contraband accessible from the loft. A more recent occupant worked on the Black Knight Rockets at the rocket testing site down by the Needles.
On a sunny morning the kitchen and dining area are flooded with sunlight and the sheltered patio is a beautiful spot to have lunch. The garden is very long and the picnic bench at the far end has views over fields and the Downs. The living room is cosy and the bedrooms are decorated in cool green with lovely views over woodland from the front bedroom and far reaching views of Tennyson Down from the back.
